Antique 1890s Fostoria Consolidated BANQUET LAMP Opal Glass FALL FLOWERS 19"

For your consideration is this beautiful antique Banquet Oil Lamp. The wrought metal base bears the letter "F", most likely the foundry maker's mark, and the number "62" indicating the base type. The shape matched those produced during the late 1890s by Consolidated Lamp Glass Company who took over Fostoria Lamp Shade Company of Fostoria, Ohio in 1893. These were sold by companies like Butler Brothers during that time. The lamp consists of two separate opal glass parts: the glass stem measuring 5.2 inches in diameter at the widest x 10 inches tall, and the Kerosene oil bowl measuring 6 inches in diameter x 3.2 inches tall. The entire lamp measures 8.8 inches in diameter (base) x 19 inches tall, and weighs 4 pounds 2.4 ounces. There is a single rod inside connecting the stem to the base that can easily be disassembled by removing the square nut under the base.
